On 30th of June in Parma, a city recognized as "creative for gastronomy" by UNESCO, it was celebrated the opening of ITALIA FOOD TEC A.P.S. new office. Important exponents of the world of agri-food technologies were present, including the project Backings, the Sponsor Companies, the Associates of ITALIA FOOD TEC A.P.S. and other important supporters.

In this occasion, President Mario Gelati presented the Portal, the fruit of the study project developed over the last 6 years on Italian agri-food technology and its chain. He highlighted its features, goals and potentialities and invited the bystanders to develop this dedicated tool.

The Portal, as the President explains, shows the potentiality of Italian companies both individually and together and presents openly the innovation and know-how of the Italian Branch.

The Portal does not want to be only a tool for an use exclusively commercial, it is also an high-tech platform, with a non-stop evolution, providing services and connections with all the realities moving around the Italian Agri-Food Tecnologies Branch.

"To date, we have always talked about food and never technology," Gelati says, "and through this Portal we can give the right value to one of the most interesting Branchs for the Italian economy". In this way it will possible to make room for initiatives supporting companies through collaboration with the sponsoring institutions, including ITA - Italian Trade Agency, Parma Industrialist Union, National Board of Food Technologists, SSICA - Experimental Station for the Food Conservation Industry, University of Parma and Milan. Many other important realities for the sector will be involved in this growth path. Gazzetta di Parma highlighted this event.
